About Jayce

Jayce Hanson grew up on a small farm in Minnesota. This upbringing proved to be a perfect training ground for the qualities of a future voice actor: a strong, independent work ethic; and an endless amount of practice talking to himself due to the isolation. From a young age, Jayce was fascinated with cartoons and, more so, the talent behind the characters. After college, Jayce landed a job in Audio Description, and his love of voiceover quickly blossomed.

Jayce’s “farm to vocal booth” voice acting style is rooted in authenticity and a sense of awe. His voice is youthful and distinct: think of an upbeat camp counselor with a modern rasp, and a touch of wryness that compliments a modern "Millennial/Gen Z" sound. He prides himself on embracing his own quirkiness and distinct register, rather than sounding like a radio or movie trailer announcer; he never takes the read too seriously, maintaining a sense of play. He has been complimented by directors before on his humorous choices and ability to have fun with any self-tape or recording. His strong background in theater and improvisation allows him to adapt to client needs and find unique spins with scripts of any genre.

In his free time, Jayce enjoys volleyball, writing, line dancing, and aerial arts! (He will also accept payment in artisanal coffee beans.)

Currently represented by J Pervis Talent Agency in Atlanta, Georgia, and Wehmann Voice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
